Testimonials
"Bill and Cresha are completely amazing. They performed wonderfully and as if they indeed lived in the 1860's. They professional and friendly through out the entire event. We had them here for a History Club event for two days. They inspired kids and parents alike and did it in a manner that made the event fun. They traveled so far away to do it as well! I cannot say enough good things about them!" - Liz E., University of Wisconsin, River Falls
"Bill came and spoke to our senior adults at their monthly luncheon. His costumed presentation was terrific. His expertise in all-things civil war was outstanding and how he related it to the people was even better. Our folks loved him and the presentation was a wonderful way to celebrate Veteran's Day." - Dr. G.P.
"You made it fun and very informative." "...you explained what took place there. It was an eye opening experience for novices like us." - Les, Betty and Joshua (their 14 year old grandson)
"Bill made it come to life with his stories of the soldiers and heros, as well as dressing in full uniform (and Cresha in her lovely homemade dress and bonnett.)" "Bill was so impressive on his knowledge of the war and it's many battles. We had the best time" - Teresa S
"I have known Bill a few years through his music, and was fascinated. I discovered that the same passion and knowledge he has for his music was displayed several times. This passion was only outdone by his compassion for those who fought and died there. I am 67 years old, and I would be proud to have Bill for a son. He is humble, down-to-earth and genuine. I consider those who know Bill as I do to be fortunate and blessed." - Larry P
"He is an excellent storyteller, too. We loved all the little 'tidbits' of extra information he gave us. He held our interest from the beginning to the end. Thanks Bill." - Tom & Amy M
"I am in awe of Bill's knowledge of Gettysburg and the entire Civil War. He kept it so interesting. I still can't believe how much I learned!" - Cathy C.
"There are many favorites at Gettysburg for me. I loved the hiking on Big Round Top. I liked the "castle" monument on Little Round Top, looking at Devil's Den and all of the statues. I also loved the new visitor's center. My Uncle Bill took me on this trip and I had so much fun. He taught me so much. I even liked the drive to Gettysburg. I can't wait to go back! It was so much fun even a kid would like it!" - Gunnar E. (9 years old)
"...what I didn't expect was everything you brought to the whole experience. The battlefield, impressive on its own virtue was stunning, but the insight you brought of telling personal stories and tragedy that occurred brought insight that I never heard or for that matter ever considered. Then, the tour of the town and history of its people, the buildings with musket ball holes still peppered in the brick, rooms hiding run away slaves just added to the whole, breathtaking time. Thanks again Bill." -Denny P
"I just wanted to thank you again and tell you what a great time we had with you. The knowledge and the stories you shared with us were so awesome. Even if you are not a big time history person, like I was not, it was so interesting...If we ever get a chance, we are going to do it again." Thanks again. - Kenn & Cathy
